After our 124th Shareholders meeting in April, we kicked off our 125th Anniversary celebration right where it all began—Irvington, Virginia. For a quarter past a century, we’ve been helping customers float their dreams, secure their first homes, and experience banking that goes beyond transactions. This Northern Neck Community event was a true celebration of growth, appreciation and shared memories, featuring local businesses, longtime customers, and of course, our employees.
From retirees reminiscing to children high-fiving our beloved mascot, Cheesie, it’s the kind of gathering that makes us proud to call this town home. Willaby’s Café Catering served up delicious bites, complemented by sweet treats from Smallcakes Williamsburg, as we came together to celebrate the strength of our community.
At Chesapeake Bank, we’ve proudly grown alongside our customers and community—celebrating milestones, and overcoming challenges, just like family. “Our goal is to get to know the people we are working with and build a long-standing relationship and ensure that we are an advisor to them as well as a bank,” said Hurst Kelly, Vice President Northern Neck Regional Executive and Senior Commercial Lender. Hurst continued to share that one customer, who secured his first car loan with us in 1954, is still banking with us today —and was even there to celebrate. Talk about loyalty!
