Chesapeake Bank’s Outreach Team

Your Community Partner

Chesapeake Bank’s Outreach Department is here to serve our neighbors, including those who are unbanked, underbanked, and in the low-to-moderate-income demographic in our markets (Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula, Williamsburg, Newport News, Chesterfield, and Richmond). Our hope is to partner with services and agencies that have individuals who can benefit from financial literacy education, coaching, and our products to develop a pathway to financial freedom.

A strong community is filled with good partners

In all of our regions, we partner with schools, services, and agencies like these to promote financial wellness among all community members.

“Outreach” is our opportunity to partner with other services and agencies who share the same goals and vision for our communities. It is not possible to keep a comprehensive list of who we work with because it is a continuously growing list filled with interwoven relationships from public schools and colleges, to government agencies like Social Service Departments, and localities like the City of Williamsburg, to non-profits–each with a specific focus, such as: Southside Community Development and Housing Corporation, Human Kind, 3eRestoration, Bacon Street Counseling Services, Three Rivers Healthy Families, and churches like Williamsburg Christian Church, Grove Christian Outreach, and the Northern Neck Baptist Association.

Employees from across our organization enjoy going to schools to teach students in all grade levels about healthy money habits. Additionally, we join the Virginia Bankers Association each year in their Virginia Reads One Book Program, providing books to all students in registered elementary schools to encourage reading and financial discussions in the home.

Chesapeake Bank has partnered with Banzai to bring you clear, in-depth lessons that help you dive into the financial topics you care most about. You’ll also find calculators, interactive coaches, and articles to help you meet your financial goals.

More than a community bank, we hope to be our community’s bankers, with real people having real conversations about financial needs. Beyond our traditional products and services, one way we meet the needs of the underbanked is through our Pathway Account and Pathway Mortgage products.
