The S. Mason and Lula P. Cole Charitable Trust provides grants to non-profit organizations (501c3s) that serve the residents of the Northern Neck region of Virginia. The Cole Charitable Trust supports organizations that span a wide range of community needs.
S. Mason and Lula Cole were long-term residents of the Northern Neck of Virginia. They were charitable-minded during their lifetime and wanted to continue that legacy after their passing. Together with Chesapeake Wealth Management and the assistance of the Coles’ attorney, Ray Britt, the Coles created a trust that would provide for their beloved community long after they were gone. The Cole Charitable Trust has given over $2 million in support of community organizations.

The S. Mason and Lula P. Cole Charitable Trust provides grants to non-profit (501c3) organizations that serve the residents of the Northern Neck region of Virginia. The Cole Charitable Trust accepts applications until November 15th of each year.
Grant Application Checklist
Please make sure the following items are included in your submission:
– Letter of request outlining your organization’s current needs
– Annual budget statement
– IRS letter verifying 501(c)3 tax status
